Watermakers : Towards Sustainable Polar Exploration with Selar

Watermakers : Towards Sustainable Polar Exploration with Selar

We are proud to bring our technical expertise to Selar's groundbreaking project, the first maritime company to offer sustainable polar expeditions. With cutting-edge technological solutions, including our watermakers designed to operate in extreme environments, we are contributing to this visionary initiative that is redefining maritime tourism.

A Ship at the Forefront of Sustainable Innovation

Selar's sailboat is much more than a means of transportation: it represents a true technological and ecological breakthrough. Powered by rigid sails equipped with photovoltaic panels and primarily using renewable energy, this vessel operates with zero carbon emissions for over 90% of the time.

Our contribution focuses on a critical issue in polar regions: access to fresh water. The watermakers we provided ensure water autonomy, essential for long expeditions in remote areas, while respecting Selar's environmental requirements.

A New Model of Responsible Tourism

With only 36 passengers on board, the expeditions offered by Selar are designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing immersion and the human experience. Far from traditional cruises, these journeys prioritize a respectful and intimate approach to polar territories, guided by local experts.

Passengers discover landscapes of rare beauty, between majestic glaciers and polar wildlife, while enjoying comfort designed with sustainability in mind: eco-designed cabins, sustainable materials, and communal spaces.

Like Selar, choose our watermakers for your project to have fresh water, everywhere.
